Anastasia is currently PhD Candidate at the ELTRUN Research Center of the Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds a BSc in Management Science and Technology with a specialization in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Management, and a MSc (with honors) in Information Systems, both from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She has long-term experience in working on international research and industrial projects in the retail sector and strong data analytics and managerial background. She has worked as consultant at Intrasoft International SA and ICAP GROUP SA, and she is co-founder at Bespot.: a 360o IoT- enabled mobile rewarding service. Moreover, she has worked as a mentor in startups at the incubation center of AUEB (Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation) and at EUXCEL European Project (EUXCEL). Her research interests lie in the areas of business analytics, retail analytics, data mining, internet of things and customer behavior. Her research has already been published in Academic Journals, it has also been presented and awarded in international conferences. The excellence of her work has been recognized by various awards: 1st place at The Digital Gate contest 2018 – Retail Innovation stream, 1st place at ennovation competition-research stream, Self Service Excellence Award 2017-Best Practices in the FMCG, 1st place at Viva Nest Contest 2017 – an IDEA in Fintech, Best Paper Award at Pre-ICIS SIGDSA/IFIP WG8.3 Symposium Innovations in Data Analytics, Distinction in top 9 International research analytics teams (2014), analyzing data by a Fortune 500 Specialty Retailer in the Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative – University of Pennsylvania.
